The rooms are well equipped and decorated to a high standard with some having pleasant views of lawns, shrubs and colourful flower beds which attract a variety of wildlife. Some also have personal access to the garden.
Although all rooms are fully furnished, residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture if preferred as well as any personal effects that would make them feel happy and at home.
There is a nurse call bell system in each bedroom and bathroom. Specialised Parker baths with hoists are used for those residents unable to use conventional baths. A wet room is also available for those residents that prefer showering.
Lounges and Conservatory
The large homely lounge at Gorselands is pleasantly decorated with a light and airy feeling. Smaller sitting areas and a well stocked library are provided for those who require a more peaceful atmosphere.
The conservatory is ideally positioned in order to catch the sunshine and has beautiful views over the extensive landscaped gardens The gardens reflect the colour of the season and provide areas for quiet enjoyment of the trees and nature.
Many people find it a perfect place to relax with the newspapers and meet up with friends and socialise. A sensory patio garden has been created with help from our residents and their families.
